Coach Auto Body is committed to helping you keep your car rust-free throughout its lifetime and recommends rust-proofing all sheet metal panels, fenders and doors as soon as possible after purchasing a brand new vehicle. This is especially crucial on Long Island, where high levels of humidity, proximity to the ocean, and the liberal use of salt on icy roads during winter time contribute to oxidizing exposed metal.
The process of rust-proofing a vehicle's exterior involves meticulously cleaning all metal surfaces before applying a coat of "Rust-Fighter i" (#8891), a powerful rust inhibitor manufactured by PPG. The rust inhibitor is carefully applied by hand with an HVLP spray gun specifically designed to reduce atmospheric contamination and mitigate harm to the environment. The entire process takes approximately 8 to 10 hours to allow the paint to dry fully.
Our PPG and Dupont certified technicians have been rust-proofing cars on Long Island in both Nassau and Suffolk County for over three decades and we know from experience how efficient rust-proofing can be in protecting your vehicle. We are so confident in the quality of our workmanship that we offer a lifetime guarantee on all our rust-proofing products and services.
We know how hard it is to keep your car from rusting on Long Island unless you rust-proof it shortly after purchasing it.
That is why we encourage you to contact Coach Auto Body or
call (516) 921-0086 as soon as possible and make an appointment to rust-proof your new vehicle before it is too late!
